Mirachicha Thecha or Kharada

(Link to Marathi Recipe)

This is a spicy chutney that is made various ways in Maharashtra. Today I am going to share version that I grew up with. This is my father's favorite chutney and he can eat it almost everyday.

15-20 Spicy Green chilies
1/4 cup Peanuts
1/2 Bunch of Cilantro
5-6 Large Cloves of Garlic (add more if you like)
Salt Per Taste
1 tbsp Oil for Roasting

Preparation -
Heat a pan on medium heat. Use cast iron pan if possible.
Roast peanuts.
Remove chili stems. Add 1 tbsp oil in kadhai. Roast chilies over medium heat making sure they are coated with oil. Roast until they are turning almost blackish.
Add cilantro and garlic. Roast neatly until cilantro almost dries out.
Let everything cool for 10-15 minutes.
Add salt and coarsely grind in mortar pestle or in mixer.

Tips -
  1. This tastes best with Jowar roti.
  2. Serve with little oil, it tastes better.
  3. Add more oil and not water while grinding if needed. This way it stays longer.
